It’s knitted in our new finer yarn - still from Fernhill Farm’s fantastic Shetland-Romney sheep, but spun in a way that makes the yarn smoother, softer and lightweight, whilst still being warm and cosy. The textured honeycomb style stitch gives the knit a bouncy feel, that really enhances the warming qualities of the wool.
The pieces are knitted by Ria on a vintage fine gauge knitting machine, before being dip dyed with dye plants grown in Ria’s garden. Each cowl is unique due to the dyeing process.
