Not only are these dyes fully traceable, they have been grown organically in a climate beneficial way, using a no-dig system and peat free compost.
African marigold plants produce bright yellow and orange blooms and dye a rich golden yellow in the pot. They also work really well in bundle dyes and eco prints.
The flowers have been dried whole and the packs will include a mixture of petals and whole flowers.
Available in 25g packs which are sealed and resealable to ensure freshness. 25g of dried marigolds will dye 100g of yarn a warm golden yellow shade. An information sheet will be included in the package with dye recipes and colour ideas.
As my growing is small scale, only limited stocks of each plant is available from each year’s harvest.
