The ombre cowl is a soft, cosy knit that can be worn multiple ways, making it a really versatile wardrobe staple for Autumn and Winter . Wear it long around the neck to showcase the hand dyed ombre colour, or wrapped double to keep your neck extra warm during the colder months.
It’s knitted in our new finer yarn - still from Fernhill Farm’s fantastic Shetland-Romney sheep, but spun in a way that makes the yarn smoother, softer and lightweight, whilst still being warm and cosy. The textured honeycomb style stitch gives the knit a bouncy feel, that really enhances the warming qualities of the wool.
The pieces are knitted by Ria on a vintage fine gauge knitting machine, before being dip dyed with dye plants grown in Ria’s garden. Each cowl is unique due to the dyeing process.
SAMPLE SALE NOTES: This is a discontinued design and has no faults or imperfections.
Dye: Woad
Size: 100cm around (50cm folded in half)
Care: Hand wash cool, dry flat, gentle steam iron
