Seed to Skein - A Growing-Led Natural Dye Membership
This week I opened the doors to Seed to Skein to those that had pre-registered, and it has been such a joy welcoming the first members inside.
Seed to Skein is my new growing-led natural dye membership.
It’s a space for yarn crafters who want to follow the full journey from seed, to plant, to skein - growing dye plants, learning to dye yarn with confidence, and working with colour through the seasons.
Inside the membership each month you’ll find:
Guidance on what to do in your dye garden right now
Updates from my own garden as it unfolds through the seasons
A seasonal dye recipe
Practical yarn dyeing tutorials (starting with the basics for lasting colour)
A focused exploration of one plant or technique
Alongside the content you'll have access to a private Discord community where you can share updates, ask questions, and learn from each other.

This month (March) inside Seed to Skein members are already exploring:
A seed sowing demonstration to get the dye garden underway
An insight into my garden plans for 2026 and the plants I’m growing for colour
March’s Dye of the Month - Daffodils
The first yarn dyeing tutorials - covering making hanks, scouring and mordanting yarn ready for dyeing
A deep dive into natural fibres, and how to choose the right yarn for your dyeing projects
There’s been some great conversation in the Discord already, as people are getting to know each other and share their growing plans for the season.
The membership costs just £15 per month, on a rolling basis, so you can join for a single month or stay for the whole growing season.
