Saturday 14th September - 10am-4pm - Bristol Textile Quarter

Demystify the ribber attachment in this one day workshop - discounted price until August 31st!

An introduction to using the ribber attachment for Brother domestic knitting machines. Over the course of the day we will learn how to set up the ribber, make swatches with the various ribbed stitches and their potential use, as well as looking at other effects than can be achieved with double bed knitting.

Using this knowledge, we will then knit a patterned or plain beanie hat, using super soft merino wool. This will be sewn up at the end of the day using a linking machine, ready for you to finish and add an optional pom-pom at home.

This workshop has a maximum of three students, ensuring plenty of support for everyone in a relaxed, friendly environment.

A basic knowledge of using knitting machines is required for this workshop. All equipment and yarns are provided.

This workshop is at Bristol Textile Quarter. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided but please bring your own lunch or purchase from one of the nearby cafes.

Bristol Textile Quarter, 1a Barton Road, Bristol, BS2 0LF

Cancellation policy: We will provide a full refund for cancellations who give at least 7 days notice. If shorter notice is given, a refund will be offered if a replacement can be found for your place. As the number of students on this workshop is intentionally small, we reserve the right to cancel this workshop if there are not enough attendees - we will ensure plenty of notice is given if this occurs.
