MARKET: The Hepworth Festive Market

Ria is delighted to be showing in her old home of West Yorkshire for the first time, at the prestigious Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield.

The festive market launches with a party on Friday 24th from 7pm-10pm, and then from 10am-4pm on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th. It runs alongside the new exhibition in the main gallery.

Start your Christmas shopping and support independent makers when The Hepworth Wakefield’s popular Festive Market returns this winter.

You’ll find over 90 stalls each weekend selling candles, ceramics, gifts for children, homeware, prints, textiles, stationery and food and drink alongside drop-in family activities, music performances and a seasonal offer in The Hepworth Wakefield café.

The Festive Market will take place at Tileyard North, the refurbished textile mill opposite the gallery, and The Hepworth Wakefield.

Entry to The Hepworth Wakefield’s Festive Market is £2 / Free for Members and under 18s.

Ria will be ehxibiting her naturally dyed local wool knitwear, dye kits, yarns and dye growing resources at Wonderwool this year.

It’s also the official debut of her book - Dyeing Yarn Naturally.

Wonderwool Wales is the premier Wool & Natural Fibre Festival in Wales and is held annually on the last weekend in April at the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells, Powys.

First held in 2006 to promote the market for Welsh wool and add value to product for small wool & fibre producers in Wales, the festival celebrates the green credentials of Welsh wool and its versatility as a material for creative crafts, designer clothes, home furnishings and more. Wonderwool Wales has grown year on year. It covers everything from the start to the end of the creative process – from exhibits of sheep, through raw and hand dyed fibres, yarn for knitting & crochet, embellishments, equipment, dyes and books to superb examples of finished textile art, craft, clothing and home furnishings.

Fibre Quest is a yarn and fibre show with a twist - it's aimed to educate and connect people with the origin of their yarns, wool fibre and more...you'll find flax, leather, nettle, wood, ceramic and more at Fibre Quest and all with a strong connection to the land, and all ethically produced in Britain.

Ria will be opening her knitwear and natural dye studio as part of the Spring Fair at Estate of the Arts, along with other studio residents and a selection of Bristol designer-makers.

Botanica is an online yarn festival celebrating natural yarns. We have a strong focus on sustainability and making our fibre crafts as close to nature as possible.
